Cassandra is a friend and actor who reached out to me wanting to refresh her headshots as it had been a few years since her last lot and she felt they didn’t represent her anymore.
We wanted to move into creating some more interesting photos involving lighting after getting the headshots she needed.
I chose to book a natural light studio in Petersham called Desk & Studio which I shoot at regularly, knowing that if the clouds co-operate, we would get a beautiful winter golden hour light streaming through huge windows of the studio.
It must have been our lucky day because the sun gloriously burst through the thinning clouds, helping us create some of my favourite photos I have ever made. A mixture of Portra 400 and Cinestill BWXX 250 on Pentax 67 as well as my trusty Fuji XT2.
The winter Golden Hour hitting just right.
